KS Pulverizadores Unveils First Brazilian Agriculture Sprayer Equipped with Allison Fully Automatic Transmission

INDIANAPOLIS, March 19, 2024 – Allison Transmission is pleased to announce that the first Allison-equipped agriculture sprayer built in Brazil was recently showcased by KS Pulverizadores, a leading Brazilian agriculture equipment manufacturer, at Show Rural Coopavel, an agriculture industry tradeshow in Cascavel, Brazil. Allison’s successful entry into the Brazilian ag sprayer market, where most sprayers have been traditionally equipped with hydrostatic and manual transmissions, is a milestone in the company’s strategic initiatives targeting growth in the end markets Allison serves outside North America. Most sprayers in neighboring Argentina, where Allison entered the sprayer market in 2015, are now equipped with Allison fully automatic transmissions.

“We’re proud to integrate Allison’s proven fully automatic transmission into our agriculture sprayer to provide our customers with a product that is specifically designed to meet the unique challenges of the industry,” said Alexandre Kleinschmitt, Co-Owner of KS Pulverizadores. “Allison transmissions are built for reliability and durability, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Allison to offer a truly differentiated solution that will increase vehicle performance and productivity.”

KS Pulverizadores chose to integrate Allison’s 2000 Series™ transmissions into their ag sprayer to provide its customers with improved vehicle performance, including unparalleled maneuverability in a wide variety of soil conditions. Additionally, Allison fully automatic transmissions provide several key benefits to customers and drivers. The company’s patented torque converter adjusts the output torque provided to the wheels while keeping the engine speed stable, which prevents slipping. Allison’s Continuous Power Technology™ delivers smoother, seamless, full-power shifts and superior acceleration and startability, enhancing driver comfort. Finally, Allison transmissions do not require clutches, resulting in less maintenance, lower repair costs and more time operating in the field.

“We are proud to announce our collaboration with KS Pulverizadores to bring fully automatic ag sprayers to Brazil,” said Heidi Schutte, Vice President of EMEA, APAC and South America Sales, Allison Transmission. “This new opportunity expands our global presence and offers great potential for growth as Allison enters a new application in South America’s largest economy.”
