Allison Transmission to Display the Next Generation of Power During AUSA 2023

INDIANAPOLIS, October 4, 2023 – Allison Transmission, a leading designer and manufacturer of conventional and electrified vehicle propulsion solutions for tactical wheeled and tracked defense vehicles will exhibit the next generation of vehicle propulsion solutions at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition October 9-11, in Washington D.C.

Allison will display two electric propulsion solutions. First is the eGen Force™ electric hybrid propulsion solution used by American Rheinmetall Vehicles for the U.S. Army XM30 Combat Vehicle Phase 3-4 competition. The eGen Force is a propulsion solution for 50-75 ton tracked vehicles that includes an integral power distribution system with a capacity of 220 kilowatts supporting Infantry Fighting Vehicle and Main Battle Tank applications.

Second is the eGen Power® fully integrated electric axle designed to replace traditional powertrains in medium and heavy-duty trucks and buses. The system is compatible with full battery electric vehicles (BEV) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) as well as range extending hybrid applications.
