Transports Andesquard and Voyages Jeanne d’Arc: the comfort and reliability of Allison transmissions serving high-level sport

At the crossroads of family heritage and the pursuit of performance, Transports Andesquard and Voyages Jeanne d'Arc have chosen Allison fully automatic transmissions to accompany ADA Blois Basket 41 on their travels. Thus, there is no lack of comfort, reliability and peace of mind for both players and drivers, confirming that sporting excellence and technical performance are moving in the same direction.

Paris, September 2025 – For several decades, Transports Andesquard and Voyages Jeanne d'Arc have been perpetuating the art of travel by combining family tradition with high quality standards. With their 530 hp Van Hool TDX27 coach equipped with Allison fully automatic transmission, the company provides transport for ADA Blois Basket 41, combining comfort, peace of mind and availability.

A family business focused on excellence

Established four generations ago, Transports Andesquard and Voyages Jeanne d'Arc embody the history of a family passion for passenger transport. Now run by Solène and Aurélien Andesquard, the company has a fleet of 24 coaches and a team of 25 employees, including 22 drivers, who are involved in a variety of activities: school transport, regular routes, tourism and long-distance tourism.

One of its most iconic missions is to support the professional team ADA Blois Basket 41, in the Elite 2 Championship in France, with 23 trips per season provided by a single dedicated vehicle.

Allison, a choice focused on comfort and reliability

To meet these requirements, Transports Andesquard chose a coach equipped with the Allison T525R fully automatic transmission, a transmission optimal for to long-distance tourism. This transmission incorporates a powerful hydraulic retarder and transmits torque and power from engines adapted to the most demanding applications.

The Allison transmission's fully automatic torque converter technology provides seamless traction and incomparably smooth gear changes. For passengers, it guarantees optimal comfort: the absence of jolts and the smoothness of the ride allow players to arrive focused before their matches and recover in the best conditions after the effort.

Driving is also simplified for drivers, including Aurélien Andesquard and his father, who benefit from seamless traction and high-precision manoeuvring, a decisive advantage for getting as close as possible to sports venues.

‘We transport a professional team that must be able to count on us without compromise. The Allison transmission gives us the peace of mind we need: comfort for the players, simplicity for the drivers and reliability for the company. It's a solution that really makes a difference,’ says Aurélien Andesquard, manager of Transports Andesquard and Voyages Jeanne d'Arc.

Secure availability

Availability is another major advantage. Since a single vehicle handles all the team's travel, the robustness and reliability of the drivetrain are essential. The Allison transmission contributes directly to this reliability: by eliminating the clutch, it reduces mechanical wear, simplifies maintenance and ensures better service continuity.

This allows for better control of operating costs while ensuring the regularity of missions.

The shared requirement for uncompromising travel

By choosing Allison, Transports Andesquard and Voyages Jeanne d'Arc confirm their commitment to putting the passenger experience at the centre of their priorities. The transmission is not just a technical detail here, but a real guarantee of comfort, peace of mind and confidence, serving a family business and a sports team that share the same standards of excellence and performance.

‘We are proud to support companies such as Transports Andesquard, which place service quality and reliability at the heart of their business. With Allison, we are demonstrating that technological innovation and operational requirements can be combined to the benefit of passengers and operators,’ concludes Stéphane Gonnand, Head of Development for Allison Transmission in France.
