“Allison Transmission's corporate DNA is rooted in the defense industry. In line with the unrivaled reliability we have gained, we not only offer the latest propulsion solutions and products for military vehicles, but also support them in the field. Since
1946, military vehicles equipped with Allison fully automatic transmissions maintain their duties uninterruptedly with the advantages of superior control and maneuverability, durability, high fuel efficiency and low maintenance requirements,” said
Atak Talas, Allison Transmission Area Director of Türkiye and Middle East. “We have an important presence in Türkiye, as well as in many ally countries. The leading Turkish military vehicle manufacturers have full confidence in the solutions we offer.
In this respect, IDEF is a very valuable platform where we participate and plan to meet with senior government and private sector officials from all geographies around the world.”
Thanks to the advanced electronic control systems, Allison transmissions provide optimal performance by transferring the high power produced by the engine to the wheels and tracks. Allison fully automatic transmissions provide higher torque ranges and
gross vehicle weight capacity for military applications. It improves vehicle performance and control in all terrain types, especially on slopes and soft ground, and delivers exceptional braking and driving experience.
Allison transmissions automatically make the correct gear selections just in time for faster acceleration, enhanced control and better maneuverability. Unlike manual and automated manual transmissions (AMTs), Allison fully automatic transmissions prevent
power interruptions and ensure smooth, continuous, full-power shifts. Allison's patented torque converter ensures the extremely high torque to be transferred to the driveline gradually. Thus, the vehicle accelerates and moves smoothly and steadily
in all road and terrain conditions.
