Allison Transmission Debuts at Autocar Expo
Paris, September 2022 – Allison Transmission, a leading designer and manufacturer of conventional and electrified vehicle propulsion solutions, will exhibit for the first time at the 2022 Autocar Expo, a tourism and mobility by
coach trade show, to be held at Lyon Eurexpo from October 12 to 15. Allison staff will be on hand to discuss a variety of propulsion solutions, including conventional and electric hybrid transmissions and expanding fully electric axle technologies
in its stand (C4). Additionally, attendees will be able to discover and test drive a number of models fitted with Allison fully automatic transmissions throughout the show.
Allison fully automatic transmissions are driving improved fuel economies and enhanced operational outcomes in coaches across the globe. With Allison’s patented torque converter, the driver easily negotiates frequent stop-starts, even when performed
on hills. Fully automatic transmissions take away driver distraction and remove cumbersome shifting so the driver can focus on handling and maneuvering the coach, especially critical in heavy traffic situations and narrow roadways. The Allison transmission
is therefore the ideal partner to attract and retain all drivers, regardless of their experience.
Allison transmissions also play a decisive role in fleet operations by helping to lower the total cost of ownership. Extended service intervals reduce maintenance costs and with no mechanical clutches, the lifetime of the drivetrain is extended. Allison’s
FuelSense® 2.0 with DynActive® Shifting uses a set of proprietary software enhancements to provide an infinitely variable combination of shift points. FuelSense 2.0 improves fuel economy while maintaining the long-established Allison advantages
of superior performance, industry-leading reliability and a low total cost of ownership. To go further in fuel savings, Allison also offers xFE transmission models, specially dedicated to optimizing consumption.
"Whether you need to climb steep slopes, access large cities with their intense traffic or even get into the tightest garages, the Allison transmission is the most suitable solution,” said Stéphane Gonnand, Area Sales Manager, Allison Transmission
France. “We cordially invite you to meet us at our stand, where we can discuss your needs and our latest technological innovations.”
