BOGOTÁ, Colômbia - março de 2021 - Graças ao seu desempenho superior e confiabilidade em qualquer tipo de aplicação, as transmissões totalmente automáticas 3500 Rugged Duty Series™ (RDS) da Allison Transmission foram escolhidas pela AB InBev Bavaria para equipar seus novos caminhões de entrega de bebidas.
A empresa, que é parte integrante da Anheuser-Busch InBev, maior cervejaria do mundo e um dos clientes de bebidas mais influentes da América do Sul, adquiriu 20 caminhões Navistar MV607 equipados com a transmissão 3500 RDS da Allison. Esses caminhões foram adquiridos com o intuito de avaliar novas tecnologias e tendências de mercado para a topografia colombiana. São as primeiras unidades automáticas da frota da companhia, que na atualidade conta com mais de 1.100 caminhões com transmissões manuais.
As transmissões totalmente automáticas Allison oferecem durabilidade e confiabilidade exclusivas. Devido à tecnologia patenteada de conversor de torque da empresa, que exige níveis mínimos de manutenção, ela requer apenas trocas programadas de óleo lubrificante e filtros e tem desgaste reduzido em comparação com transmissões manuais ou automatizadas, que usam sistema de embreagem. Isso reduz custos de manutenção e otimiza o tempo de atividade da frota.
O conversor de torque é um mecanismo de partida premium, que dá aos motoristas maior controle do veículo em baixas velocidades e maior aceleração ou retomada de velocidade. Nos declives ou aclives acentuados, na manobrabilidade por ruas estreitas, ou na aproximação de rampas de carga/descarga, as transmissões automáticas Allison oferecem um nível de resposta que as caixas de câmbio manuais ou manuais automatizadas não alcançam.
