대한민국, 서울, 2020년 10월 – 앨리슨 트랜스미션은 타타대우의 중형 카고 트럭 노부스를 지난 12년 동안 약 100만km를 주행한 고객에게 소정의 선물을 증정하는 감사 이벤트를 가졌다.
주인공은 광주광역시에서 화물 운송업을 하는 최부삼 씨. 최 씨는 지난 2008년 노부스 5톤 트럭을 구매한 후 광주와 함평, 군산 등 전라남도 주요 도시에 화물과 건설자재 등을 운반하며 지난 12년 동안 약 100만km를 주행했다. 노부스 차량에는 앨리슨의 2000시리즈TM 전자동 변속기가 장착돼 있다.
앨리슨 트랜스미션은 추석 연휴를 맞아 최부삼 고객에게 감사의 마음을 담은 소정의 선물을 증정하는 기념식을 진행했다. 기념식에는 이경미 앨리슨 트랜스미션 코리아 지사장과 김형찬 상무가 참석했다.
최부삼 씨는 "지난 2008년 전자동 변속기 장착 차량이 운전하기 쉽고 편하다는 주변의 권유를 듣고 차량을 구매했다"며 "100만 km를 주행하며 앨리슨 제품이 성능과 내구성이 우수하고, 무엇보다 수동 차량에 비해 경제적이라는 믿음이 생겼다"고 말했다.
최 씨는 이어 "수동 차량은 브레이크 드럼, 패드, 라이닝 등을 지속적으로 교체해야 하기 때문에 유지보수 비용이 많이 든다. 화물업은 경기에 영향을 많이 받기 때문에 비용효율적으로 차량을 관리하는 것이 중요하다고 생각한다"고 말했다.
이경미 앨리슨 트랜스미션 코리아 지사장은 "전자동 변속기 차량은 주행하기 편하고, 안전하며, 파워 단락이 발생하지 않는 장점이 있다"며 "최근에는 연비가 뛰어나고 경제성이 좋다는 점이 입소문을 타고 고객들에게 전파되고 있어 판매 호조를 보이고 있다"고 말했다.
한편, 최부삼 씨는 최근 앨리슨 트랜스미션의 전자동 변속기가 장착된 타타대우의 프리마 차량 1대도 추가로 구매했다. 최 씨는 향후 프리마 트럭을 기반으로 화물 운송 사업을 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
