최근 미국 시장에 진출한 볼보 VHD 대형 트럭은 앨리슨 트랜스미션의 전자동 변속기를 옵션에 추가했다.
대한민국, 서울, 2020년 7월 – 볼보는 신형 VHD 시리즈 대형 트럭을 최근 미국 시장에 선보이며, 5단 및 6단 변속을 하는 앨리슨 트랜스미션의 전자동 변속기를 옵션으로 추가해 내구성과 생산성을
높였다.
신형 VHD 시리즈 대형 트럭은 VHD 300 AB, VHD 300 AF, VHD 400 AB 및 VHD 400 AF 등 총 4가지 라인업으로 구성됐다. 고객은 2개의 캐빈 타입(싱글 또는 베드)과 2종의 엔진(325~500마력을 내는 D11 및 D13) 중 하나를 선택하고, I-시프트 반자동 변속기(12, 13, 14단) 또는 앨리슨 트랜스미션의 전자동 변속기(5, 6단) 중 하나를 고를 수 있다. 5개의 휠 드라이브(4x2, 6x2, 6x4,
8x4, 8x6)도 옵션 항목이다.
신형 VHD 시리즈는 강력한 파워트레인이 장착돼 있어 콘크리트 믹스 트럭, 기중기, 크레인, 건설 운반, 채굴 및 채석, 환경 정화 차량 등에 사용된다. 이 차량을 구매하는 고객은 모두 앨리슨 전자동 변속기를 선택할 수 있다.
VHD 시리즈는 편안한 주행을 제공하도록 설계됐으며, 내구성, 생산성, 안전성 등이 탁월하며, 다양한 용도로 사용할 수 있다. 고객이 전자동 변속기를 옵션으로 고른다면 무거운 화물을 싣거나 옮기는데 용이하다. 이는 전자동 변속기가 언덕 등 경사로에서 저속으로 주행할 때 차량을 보다 효과적으로 제어하고, 급경사에서 차량이 부드럽게 출발하도록 지원하기 때문이다.
