In der neuen, gut 10.000 Quadratmeter großen Anlage werden die eGen Power™ Elektroachsen von Allison Transmission für Nutzfahrzeuge in bewährter Qualität und Zuverlässigkeit produziert.
INDIANAPOLIS, 9. November, 2021 – Allison Transmission, führend in der Entwicklung und Produktion von konventionellen und elektrifizierten Antriebslösungen für militärische Rad- und Kettenfahrzeuge sowie für mittelschwere und schwere Nutzfahrzeuge hat eine neue Fer- tigungsstraße für E-Achsen im Allison-Werk in Auburn Hills, Michigan, fertiggestellt. Diese spezielle Produktionslinie verfügt über automatisierte Montagevorrichtungen und wird die voll integrierten E-Achsen der eGen PowerTM Produktreihe produzieren.

Allison hat beträchtliche Investitionen in die Entwicklung einer erstklassigen Infrastruktur für die Entwicklung und Produktion der elektrischen Achsen der eGen Power Produktpalette ge- steckt. Zusätzlich zur Fertigungsstraße hat Allison ein spezielles Prüfverfahren für die Herstel- lung der E-Achsen eingerichtet. Dabei durchläuft jede E-Achse eine Reihe von Tests, um si- cherzustellen, dass alle Komponenten die vorgegebenen Leistungsanforderungen erfüllen. Vor der Auslieferung wird jede E-Achse hinsichtlich der Einhaltung der höchsten Produktions- standards überprüft. Um eine schnelle, zuverlässige und nachvollziehbare technische Entwick- lung und Designvalidierung zu ermöglichen, hat Allison außerdem erheblich in die Ausrüstung von E-Achsen-Prüfständen investiert.
In der E-Achsen-Fertigungsanlage in Auburn Hills können alle Produkte der eGen Power Pro- duktpalette hergestellt werden. Dazu gehören die eGen Power 100D für heavy-duty 6x2-Fahr- zeuge und die eGen Power 130D, die für den Einsatz in Europa und im asiatisch-pazifischen Raum bestimmt ist, wo ein Bruttoachsgewicht von 13 Tonnen erforderlich ist. Darüber hinaus produziert das Werk das Modell eGen Power 100S, das für schwere 6x4-Zugmaschinen und für schwere Tandem-Achsen-Fahrzeuge sowie für mittelschwere Lkw und Schulbusse vorge- sehen ist.
