Self-propelled Multiple 7040 features a fully automatic Allison 2500 transmission
CASCAVEL, Brazil – Agricultural machinery manufacturer Metalfor will showcase its newest self-propelled sprayer, the Multiple 7040 with a fully automatic Allison 2500 transmission, at Rural Show Coopavel 2017, Feb. 6-10.
Metalfor machines provide security, comfort and versatility for overall efficiency. The Multiple 7040 is equipped with modern elements and advanced technology, allowing users to perform all the functions it has been designed for, quickly and easily.
Allison transmissions feature Continuous Power Technology™ which uses a torque converter to smoothly multiply engine torque, delivering more power to the wheels. By multiplying engine power, operators get increased performance, faster acceleration and greater operational flexibility. For sprayers, Allison Automatics excel on wet or sandy soil while maintaining engine speed in an efficient range, keeping the spray pump in an ideal operating mode.
"Our experience in Argentina shows us that the automatic gearbox in the self-propelled sprayer is an excellent alternative to the hydraulic transmission machines as it offers the same operating characteristics, acceleration capacity, traction control and productivity with lower costs of investment, consumption and maintenance," said Guillermo Zegna, sales manager for Metalfor.
Allison transmissions are designed to deliver unrivaled reliability and durability while helping to protect vehicle driveline. Because the torque converter experiences very little wear, the transmissions require only periodic fluid and filter changes to maintain peak performance. This allows customers to experience reduced downtime and get more work done.
