Allison Advantage Calculator

How an Allison transmission measures up and pays off

When we say an Allison transmission creates real, long-term savings, we mean it. To prove it, the Allison Advantage Calculator is designed  to show you the long-term value of an Allison transmission based on lower maintenance costs, increased productivity and greater residual value.

Use the calculator below to see how an Allison transmission will generate savings and value over its life cycle as compared to a manual or automated manual transmission (AMT) and how long it will take to pay back the cost of an Allison transmission.

The Allison Payback represents the payback period in years  vs. an AMT or a manual transmission. Allison's service and maintenance advantage,  incremental productivity gains, depreciation and residual value are considered in the calculation. Fuel economy parity is assumed. This is Allison's payback before considering the fuel economy advantage of a fully automatic transmission.

Life Cycle Value
is the net present value of the transmission investment considering incremental service and maintenance costs, equivalent lifetime fuel costs and revenue generating productivity gains or cost reductions over the life of the vehicle.

The Allison Advantage is the difference between the Allison fully automatic lifecycle value and the competitive lifecycle value.
