Modern armored vehicles must be survivable, lethal and highly mobile. These requirements are at odds with one another. While superior mobility requires powerful and complex engine/drive systems, there must be adequate interior hull space for ammo, fuel, cooling apparatus and other necessary equipment. The answer is a compact, lightweight, easily operated powertrain featuring an Allison automatic transmission.

We have worked with the U.S. Army to design, develop, test and prove the world's finest tracked vehicle drive systems. State-of-the-art propulsion/steering/braking systems are integrated into a hydrokinetic transmission to match up with diesel or gas turbine engines from 200 to 1500 horsepower that are reliable and durable, while minimizing driver stress and fatigue as well as training.
