Next Generation Propulsion Solution

The eGen Power^® family of electric axles represents a complete propulsion solution including high voltage inverter(s) and a Vehicle Propulsion Controller. Industry leading technology and efficiency developed with Allison best practice combine to deliver a truly new generation of propulsion solutions, and are designed to meet the high reliability and durability expectations our customers deserve.

Regenerative Braking

The innovative gear layout allows for maximum efficiency and 100% regenerative brake torque capability reducing brake wear and improving vehicle range.

Integrated Oil Cooler + Oil Pump

The integrated oil cooler and oil pump make the e-Axle easier and less expensive to install, with reduced risk of leaks and offer reduced pipe runs and less flex between sprung and unsprung components, providing simpler packaging, better durability and less maintenance.

Proprietary oil cooling allows for higher continuous motor operation closer to peak power levels.

Drum or Optional Air Disc Brakes

Standard air disc or optional drum brakes offer peak performance and support fleet optionality and preference.

Modular Design

eGen Power^® is a modular solution that supports different suspension and track width configurations, improving packaging and allowing energy sources such as batteries or tanks to be installed in-board, improving safety and vehicle dynamics.

e-Axles for Commercial Vehicles

Delivering industry-leading performance and efficiency, eGen Power^® e-Axles feature a compact design to free up space for critical EV equipment including battery packs, offering up new packaging opportunities. The e-Axles are also power agnostic, compatible with battery electric, fuel cell electric and range extending hybrid powertrains.

An Electric Propulsion Solution for Midi-Buses

The eGen Power^® 85S was specifically developed to address the needs of midi bus and small truck applications requiring a lower 8.5T gross axle weight rating (GAWR), with a narrower track width, smaller wheel/tire combinations and new stamped axle housing, as compared to other eGen Power^® models.

Electric Power for Medium- and Heavy-Duty Trucks

eGen Power 100S

eGen Power^® 100S is a single motor e-Axle designed for heavy-duty 6x4 tractors and heavy-duty straight trucks, as well as medium-duty trucks and some bus applications.

The 100S uses a single motor to generate 225 kW of continuous power, with peak power of 325 kW and 26,000 Nm of torque at the wheels. It offers a 10.4 tonne gross axle weight rating and features a two-speed parallel axis gear architecture. The e-Axle efficiently meets application launch and highway cruise demands, while maximizing energy recovery through 100% regenerative braking capability.

eGen Power^® 130S

A variant of the 100S, the eGen Power^® 130S was introduced for Europe and Asia Pacific markets, and vocations that require a heavier gross axle weight rating. Key components were redesigned and validated to accommodate the higher loads, including the suspension systems, V-rod brackets, banjo housing, brakes, wheel ends and axle spindle. The 130S uses a single motor to generate 225 kilowatts of continuous power, with a peak power of 325 kilowatts, and 26,000 newton meters of torque at the wheels.

Built for Heavy-Duty Trucks

The first variant introduced to Allison’s family of fully electric axles, eGen Power^®100D is one of the most powerful fully integrated e-Axle systems in the world. It was specifically developed for heavy-duty trucks, such as 4x2 and 6x2 tractors.

Highly Engineered and Fully Integrated

This 10.4 tonne gross axle weight rated e-Axle features two electric motors, collectively capable of generating greater than 450 kilowatts of continuous power, with peak power of 650 kilowatts. It integrates a two-speed gearbox into the central housing, optimizing for high gradeability and efficient top speed cruise.

eGen Power^®130D

A variant of the 100D, the eGen Power^®130D is specifically designed for European and Asia Pacific markets, where many commercial vehicles require a heavier 13 tonne gross axle weight rating. The 130D maintains the same core components, performance and differentiated value as eGen Power 100D but with an increased axle weight rating.
